The Directorate of Public Instruction, Chhattisgarh, has issued a notification for Chhattisgarh SAGES Recruitment 2026. A total of 1,812 contractual posts are available across 33 districts in Swami Atmanand Utkrisht English Medium Schools (SAGES).

Eligibility Criteria

Educational Qualification (as on Oct 21, 2026)

• Lecturer: Postgraduate Degree in relevant subject (minimum 2nd Division) + B.Ed.

• Teacher: Graduation in relevant subject + D.Ed / D.El.Ed / B.Ed + CG TET (Upper Primary).

• Assistant Teacher: 12th (45% or above) + D.Ed / D.El.Ed / B.El.Ed + CG TET (Primary).

• Teacher (Computer): Graduation in Computer Science / IT / BCA.

• Laboratory Assistant / PT Teacher / Librarian: Post-specific qualification (12th/Graduation + relevant diploma/degree).

• Medium Requirement: Candidates applying for English-medium posts must have completed their education in English medium from Class 6 onwards (relaxation applies for Hindi/Sanskrit subject posts).

Age Limit (as on 01 January 2026)

• Minimum Age: 21 years

• Maximum Age (Unreserved): 35 years

• Relaxation: Up to 5 years for SC/ST/OBC (Non-Creamy Layer of CG); up to 10 years for Female CG domicile candidates.

Selection Process

Selection is through a Computer Based Test (CBT) only, followed by document verification. The notification does not mention a separate interview or the exam pattern.

• The CBT will be conducted in English medium.
• The selection list will be prepared on the basis of the CBT result. Technical help from expert institutions will be taken with the State Government's permission.
• The selection list is valid for 6 months from the date of issue. A waiting list of up to 25% of the vacant posts (minimum one name) will be prepared for each category and is valid for 9 months.
• Candidates will be informed about document verification online through the department's portal, and absent candidates will be treated as ineligible.
• Selected candidates are subject to character verification (police verification).
• Selected candidates in the disability category will be examined by the District Medical Board for benchmark disability and functional requirements before joining.
• Appointment is subject to the final order of the Hon'ble Supreme Court in SLP (C) No. 019668/2022.

3. Register using your mobile number and email ID, verifying via OTP.

4. Fill in personal info, CG domicile details, educational qualifications, and upload required documents.

5. Select the post(s) you are applying for (an eligible candidate can submit up to 7 separate applications).

6. Submit the form online and keep a printed copy for future reference.
