GSSSB Food Safety Officer Eligibility Criteria

1. Educational Qualification

• Degree Required: Bachelor's/Master's degree in Food Technology, Dairy Technology, Biotechnology, Oil Technology, Agricultural Science, Veterinary Science, Bio-Chemistry, Microbiology, Medicine, OR Master’s Degree in Chemistry from a recognized University.

• Computer Knowledge: Basic computer knowledge certificate (or studied computer in Std 10/12).

• Language: Adequate knowledge of Gujarati or Hindi (or both).

• Conflict of Interest: Candidates having any financial interest in the manufacture, import, or sale of food articles are ineligible.

2. Age Limit (As on 10 November 2026)

• Minimum Age: 18 Years

• Maximum Age: 37 Years (General ceiling)

• Upper Age Relaxation: Up to 45 years for eligible PwBD candidates under Advt No. 466/2026-27 as per Gujarat Government rules.

GSSSB Food Safety Officer Examination Pattern (210 Marks Total)

The selection process involves a single-stage Computer-Based Recruitment Test (CBRT) / OMR Objective Examination.

GSSSB Food Safety Officer Application Process

1.One Time Registration (OTR): Required on OJAS Portal.

Visit the official OJAS Gujarat portal (ojas.gujarat.gov.in). Complete One Time Registration (OTR) if you have not registered previously.

2.Select Advertisement: Check eligibility category before clicking.

Navigate to Online Application > Apply > GSSSB. Select Advt No. 466/2026-27 (for PwBD applicants) or Advt No. 465/2026-27 (Regular post).

3.Fill Details & Upload Files: Photo and signature formatting limits apply.

Login using your OTR number and Date of Birth. Upload scanned photograph (JPG, up to 15 KB, white background) and signature.

4.Confirm & Pay Application Fee: Unconfirmed forms will be rejected.

Review all details, submit, and save the generated Confirmation Number. Pay the application fee online (₹400) by 13 November 2026.
