GSSSB Sanitary Inspector Selection Process

Selection is through a single-stage competitive written examination (CBRT/OMR based), conducted in two parts:

Exam Pattern

• Total 210 questions (multiple-choice), 210 marks, combined duration of 3 hours (180 minutes) for Part A and Part B.
• Negative marking: ¼ mark deducted for each wrong answer.
• Qualifying standard: Minimum 40% separately in both Part A and Part B, for all categories.
• Document verification is called for candidates up to approximately twice the number of vacancies per category, based on provisional merit.
• Final selection list and waiting list are prepared based on marks obtained, category-wise vacancies, and document verification outcome.

How to Apply for GSSSB Sanitary Inspector Recruitment 2026

1. Visit the official website ojas.gujarat.gov.in.
2. Go to "Online Application" → click Apply → select GSSSB.
3. Select Advertisement No. 455/2026-27, Sanitary Inspector, Class-3 and click Apply.
4. Read the "More Details" notification carefully before proceeding.
5. Click "Apply Now" → "Skip" to open the application format and fill in Personal Details.
6. Fill in Educational Details in the next step.
7. Accept the declaration/assurance ("Yes") and click Save to generate the Application Number.
8. Upload photograph and signature in the prescribed JPG format and size.
9. Click "Confirm Application" after a final review.
10. Download and keep a printout of the confirmed application.
11. Pay the requisite examination fee online by 03 September 2026, 11:59 PM.

Important Conditions

• Reserved-category candidates applying against unreserved posts will not get reserved-category relaxations.
• Category details cannot be changed after confirmation.
• Eligible widow women candidates may receive additional merit marks subject to conditions.
• Eligible sports candidates may receive additional merit marks.
• Scribe/compensatory time facility is available to eligible candidates as per rules.
• Applicable Gujarat recruitment and examination rules govern the recruitment.
• Malpractice may result in disqualification and legal action.
• Passing the written examination does not itself confer a right to appointment.
