Eligibility Criteria

• Educational Qualification: Matriculation (10th) plus ITI, or Apprenticeship Training with NTC / NCTVT.

• Experience (Preference): Preference will be given to candidates with prior practical experience in Enclosed Arc (EA) welding or specialized welding work in sectors like railways, heavy engineering, shipbuilding, or comparable industrial applications.

• Age Limit: Maximum 35 years as of October 1, 2026 (Age relaxations apply as per Government of India guidelines).

Salary & Remuneration

• Pay Scale: Rs. 22,000 – 63,000 + allowances

• Structure: Selected candidates receive an initial basic pay, Variable DA (currently @55.7%), and allowances @15% of basic pay. Bachelor accommodation is provided at project sites instead of House Rent Allowance (HRA) for contract staff on pay scales.

IRCON Rail Welding (EA) Technician Important Instructions

• The contract is for an initial tenure of 2 years, which may be extended further after two years based on performance and project requirement.
• Contract Employees on pay scale shall execute a service bond of Rs. Five Lakhs for serving the company for an initial period of 2 years and subsequent extended period (if any) up to a maximum of three years.
• The appointment is co-terminus with the project and will not confer any right to claim absorption in the regular establishment.
• Candidates must bring original certificates in proof of age, community, educational qualifications, and experience to the interview.
• No TA/DA will be paid for attending the walk-in-interview unless as per rules, though TA/DA/CTA is admissible during service as per regular employee entitlement.
• Medical Health Insurance Policy of Rs. Five Lakhs for self with a premium ceiling of Rs. 8,000/- per annum shall be taken by the employee and reimbursed upon receipt submission.

3. ITI / National Trade Certificate (NTC/NCTVT)
