Eligibility Criteria

1. Educational Qualification:

• AEE (Civil): Must possess a Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering from a recognized university or Associate Membership of the Institution of Engineers of India (Civil).

• AEE (Mechanical): Must possess a Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Associate Membership of the Institution of Engineers of India (Mechanical).

2. Mandatory Requirement (GATE Score):

• Candidates must possess a valid GATE Score Card in Civil or Mechanical Engineering from GATE 2024, GATE 2025, or GATE 2026.

3. Odia Language Requirement:

• Applicants must be able to read, write, and speak Odia (must have passed Middle School / Class 7 with Odia as a language subject or cleared the Odia Language Test).

4. Age Limit (as on 1 January 2026):

• Minimum Age: 21 years

• Maximum Age: 42 years (Born between 2 January 1984 and 1 January 2005)

• Upper Age Relaxations:

  • SC / ST / SEBC / Women / Ex-Servicemen: 5 Years

  • PwD (40% or more permanent disability): 10 Years

  • PwD belonging to SC/ST/SEBC: 15 Years

OPSC Assistant Executive Engineer (AEE) Salary 2026

• Pay Level: Level-12 (ORSP Rules)

• Pay Scale (Basic Pay Range): ₹56,100 – ₹1,77,500

• Starting Basic Pay: ₹56,100 per month

• Gross In-Hand Salary: ~₹80,000 to ₹87,000/month (including Dearness Allowance, HRA, and medical allowances).

Selection Process

There is no separate written examination. The selection will be conducted based on:

1. GATE Score Weightage (90% Weightage): Shortlisting of candidates based on valid GATE scores (2024, 2025, or 2026).

2. Viva Voce / Personal Interview (10% Weightage): Shortlisted candidates (around 2 times the number of vacancies) will be called for Document Verification and Personal Interview.

3. Odia Test: Ability in Odia language may be tested during the interview stage.
