RRB Station Master Salary & Pay Scale

• Pay Level: Level 6 of the 7th CPC Pay Matrix.

• Initial Basic Pay: ₹35,400 per month (plus applicable central allowances like DA, HRA, Transport Allowance, etc.).

RRB Station Master Eligibility Criteria

1. Educational Qualification

• Must hold a Bachelor's Degree or equivalent qualification from a recognized university by the application closing date (25th November 2026).

• Note: Candidates awaiting final degree results are not eligible.

2. Age Limit (as on 01.01.2027)

• Age Range: 20 to 33 Years.

• Age relaxation applies as per government rules:

  • OBC (Non-Creamy Layer): 3 Years

  • SC / ST: 5 Years

  • Ex-Servicemen: As per prescribed guidelines.

3. Medical Standard

• Medical Fitness Standard: A-2 Category.

• Vision Standard: 6/9, 6/9 without glasses (Distant Vision) and Sn: 0.6, 0.6 without glasses (Near Vision). Must pass tests for Colour Vision, Binocular Vision, Night Vision, and Myopic Vision.

• Crucial Rule: Candidates who have undergone LASIK or refractive surgery to correct vision are ineligible for Station Master.

RRB Station Master Selection Process

The selection process comprises four stages:

1. Stage 1: Single CBT

   • Total Duration: 120 minutes

   • Total Questions: 100

   • Negative Marking: 1/3rd mark per incorrect answer.

   • Subject Distribution:

     • Basic Science, Mathematical & Analytical Capability: 60 Marks

     • Logical Capability: 20 Marks

     • Mental Reasoning: 20 Marks

2. Stage 2: CBAT (Psycho Test)

   • Shortlisting ratio: 8 times the RRB-wise vacancies.

   • Mandatory score: Minimum T-Score of 42 in each test battery (no category relaxation).

   • No negative marking in CBAT.

3. Stage 3 & 4: Final Merit, Document Verification (DV) & Medical Examination

   • Final Weightage: 70% from CBT marks + 30% from CBAT marks.
