ICG CGEPT Recruitment 2026 Notification Out - Apply Online at SSC for 365 Navik, Yantrik & Hygienist Posts

The Indian Coast Guard (ICG) has released the notification for Coast Guard Enrolled Personnel Test (CGEPT) batches 01/2027 & 02/2027. For this cycle, the application process is being hosted through the official Staff Selection Commission (SSC) portal at ssc.gov.in.

Eligibility Criteria

1. Educational Qualification

• Navik (GD): Passed 10+2 (Class 12th) with Mathematics and Physics from a recognized board.

• Navik (DB): Passed Class 10th (Matriculation) from a recognized board.

• Yantrik: Class 10th pass + 3 or 4-year AICTE-approved Diploma in Electrical / Mechanical / Electronics & Telecommunication Engineering (OR 10+2 + 2/3-year Diploma).

• Hygienist-I: Class 10th pass or ITI / equivalent in the relevant trade.

2. Age Limit

• Navik GD / Yantrik: Born between 01/11/2005 and 01/04/2009.

• Navik DB: Born between 01/11/2005 and 01/10/2009.

• Hygienist-I: Born between 01/11/2002 and 01/10/2009.

• (Age relaxation applicable: 3 years for OBC, 5 years for SC/ST).

ICG CGEPT Salary

The notification gives the basic pay for each post along with Dearness Allowance and other allowances based on the nature of duty and place of posting, as per the prevailing regulations.

• Promotion prospects exist up to the rank of Pradhan Adhikari/Pradhan Sahayak Engineer/Hygiene Supervisor. Promotion to the Officer cadre is subject to suitability and performance while in service as per regulations laid down on the subject.

Application Fee & Selection Process

• Application Fee: ₹550 for UR / OBC / EWS candidates; Nil for SC/ST candidates.

• Selection Stages:

  1. Stage-I: Computer-Based Examination (CBT)

  2. Stage-II: Assessment Test, Physical Fitness Test (PFT), and Document Verification

  3. Stage-III: Final Medical Examination at INS Chilka & Enrolment
